Despite the low box office and it's dismal reception by critics, The Boy Next Door delivers on action and fulfils its the promise of seeing J. Lo in lingerie. For all it's flaws, the film remains at fast pace and is not boring to watch.
Lopez attempts to breathe life into a poorly written script, questionable casting choices and poor cinematography. The dialogue throughout the film is not only dry but seems forced. This film simply lacks any form of character development.
