Surprisingly not the worst horror movie ever, The Boy thankfully has much more to offer than just what the trailer would suggest, that being a lonely girl trapped in a house with a demonic doll. The biggest flaw of the movie is that it does plenty of things right, the story and the characters in particular were better than expected, but at the same time it doesnt go as far as it thinks it is going with these notable elements, in many ways making this film the perfect candidate for a remake.
