For a horror movie this was not that bad. After what we have seen for the past decade I would rate this somewhere in the top ten. Although "The Boy" is more focused on atmosphere and plot for the scares.

It gives you a pretty decent vibe of the "ooky spookies" but does not make you want to cover your eyes in fear of a small seemingly haunted doll. There are a few jump scares but you can almost certainly tell when they are coming.

I won't lie one of them got me. I would invite you to watch this film. Plus the ending is not what you expect. It will make you think at the end.
