Review of The Boy (2016) by Canty N — 25 Jun 2016
I was impressed by this film, I had low expectations but I really enjoyed it. The acting is ok, I wouldn't consider this movie with in the horror genre, more like a suspense thriller. The movie starts right straight at the plot, not a slow burner like other thrillers.
What I like the most is that (SPOILER ALERT) is not a typical-boring-CGI-haunted house-ghost story, the script could've had more into it but the twist was perfect. Not that many jump scares, I don't think the film was aiming for that.
Overall it was good (not great), it leaves you asking since the beginning what's really going on.
