Review of The Boy (2016) by Nicole F — 25 Jan 2016
Lauren Cohan carries it and somehow is really effective and believable despite the otherwise odd premise. When she is alone or with the doll the film works, but the chemistry with the other actors isn't there and it bring the film down a bit.
It never really decides what type of horror film it wants to be. Certainly better than I expected, but also a disappointment in that it wasn't even better given how effective it is with what it had to work with.
