"The Box" is mystery, horror, science fiction mixed into one yet not gelling cohesively together. The cast, the '70s setting, and its effectiveness in keeping the audience spooked, on edge and guessing, worked in its favour, while the inconsistent editing, unimpressive graphics and the plot's wobbly progression towards the bizarre outcome did not.
