The original short (twilight zone or outer limits) was great because the mystery of the box was what engaged you Turning it into a full length film begs detail hat will inevitably disappoint. Nevertheless, I was entertained and impressed with some of the added details.
Overall though, I think leaving the box more of a mystery would have served the film better.
