The second chapter in the "Bourne Trilogy," based on Robert Ludlum's best-selling espionage novels, reaches the screen in this sequel to the 2002 thriller The Bourne Identity. Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) has abandoned his life as a CIA assassin and has been traveling beneath the agency's radar, eventually reconnecting with Marie Kreutz (Franka Potente), the woman he loves. But Bourne is haunted by vivid dreams and troubling memories of his days as a killer, and he's not certain how much really happened and how much is a product of his imagination. When Bourne is led out of hiding by circumstances beyond his control, he must reconcile his past and present as he struggles to keep Marie out of harm's way and foil an international incident with dangerous consequences. The Bourne Supremacy also features Joan Allen as one of Bourne's superiors, while Julia Stiles and Brian Cox reprise their roles as intelligence agents from the first film.

I don't know why but most of the reviewer called it lesser good of the three, I liked the first movie but this was better than first. I loved it more than the first, this one was more thrilling than the first, maybe a bit shaky on the writing side in which the first one was strong but still this is one of the best spy thriller I have ever seen, and on the whole this series is better than those James Bond movies. I had a blast watching this movie it is a tension filled edge of the seat thriller that has some brains too, not your average summer flick.

I am rating it the same 4 stars as I did the first movie, I would have rated this one 3.5 but extra half star for the thrills and the some brilliant chase scenes that made my day. it is better than the first for this point of view but writing wise the first movie was better and now I can't wait to watch the third movie.

This movie is being Directed by Paul Greengrass who has an eye and a talent for these kind of movies, he after this wen't on to make the third movie of this series alongwith Oscar nominated United 93 and the recent Green zone. I love his style of film making. he gave a good direction nice work by him. I loved the shaky camera technique which suited this movie the best and made many scenes so realistic to watch.

Screenplay is a bit weaker than the first to be honest but still good enough. story is good and plot is thrilling and brilliant. Editing is awsome. good work. Excellent cinematography, you will see many places in this movie loved them. great sound effects and other technical aspects were good too. I liked the action in this movie with less action they manage to make this movie more interesting and attractive than those silly action flicks. some the scenes like that car chase scene towards the end was epic. this one has one of the best action, spy, chase scenes ever. loved them. adrenaline filled edge of the seat thrilling fun it was.

Matt Damon did a good job again as Jason Bourne alongwith Joan Allen as Pamela Landy who brought such talent and style to this character. other actors were Franka Potente, Brian Cox, Julia Stiles, Karl Urban , Gabriel Mann , Marton Csokas , Karel Roden , Tomas Arana , Tom Gallop , Tim Griffin , Michelle Monaghan. nice cast.

I loved watching this movie and this series is the best. I would recommend this one more for the edge of the seat constant moving plot with great car chase scenes that never bore you but entertain you. it has minor flaws but the first one was more brainer. still I rated these both movies same. Do watch it.
