Review of The Bourne Identity (2002) by Tero H — 21 Oct 2012
I remember having been surprised when I watched this movie when it came to the movie theatres, it was so much better than I had expected. In fact this is one of the best action thrillers I've seen, so I decided to review it from my DVD last night.
Matt Damon and Franka Potente are both great starring in this exciting film. Their chemistry works well.
The martial arts moves, which looked like very aggressive jujutsu to me, were well planned, looked realistic and were cleanly and quickly done by Matt Damon.
I thought the car chase was exciting as well, and the red morris mini is just so cool - and a bit funny because its such a inredibly small car.
The end of the movie at the Island of Mykonos is very nice too. The ocean, so deep blue in the sunshine.. also other fine graphic nuances in the movie are well done. No flashy special effects, just stunts and lots of well-directed, seamless action combined with an interesting plot and well performed acting make this a highly recommendable film and one of my favorites.
