Review of The Bounty (1984) by Aimée D — 15 Jul 2008
Gripping, spellbinding, I can't think of enough superlatives for this movie. We follow the men of the Bounty thru the hell of shipboard life to the almost unbelievable paradise of Tahiti. We see Bligh and Christian turn from gentleman into a lunatic and a tyrant, as the crew, their leaders and voyage fall aprt in the lead up to the mutiny.
Performances were superb all around, the scenes in Tahiti breath taking. So sad the second part including Pitcairn's island was never made!
