Review of The Book Thief (2013) by Luis P — 26 Feb 2014
SThe book thief is one of the extraordinary films ever made. This is a rarity amongst films of its type in that it portrays the effects of world war two through the german perspective. Geoffrey rush and emily watson deserve plaudits applenty for their portrayal of a nazi-german family that take in a jewish man despite the opinions of the nazi regime.
It is a film that should be shown in scchools to educate children on the effects of war on all countries involved. Sad, poigngant, emotionally draining but most all brilliant and one of the best films I have ever had the pleasure of seeing.
