Review of The Book Thief (2013) by Lynn A — 07 May 2018
Adding a touch of humanity to an inhuman time and place, the film doesn't deserve the criticism of being too soft on Naziism. The horrors of Hitler's Germany are depicted through the eyes and experiences of an child, and ordinary decent people just trying to exist in that time.
