Went to see The Book Thief the other day. Loved the book and had to go see the film. The Book Thief was a modest film set during World War II, which succeeds in telling a good story well without focussing heavily on the gloom of war, as is usually expected for tales set in wartime.
The casting was good, especially Geoffrey Rush (who shares my birthday) as Hans Hubermann.
