Review of The Book Thief (2013) by Laura B — 20 May 2018
Very good movie, while not showing a good portion of the horrors of World War 2 it wasn't really necessary. The story wasn't about the concentration camps, it was about a little German girl who loves to read.
What it does show is her love, passion, and her loss. It shows the joy of a friendship rekindled, and that despite loss and horror, life is meant to be lived, and to the fullest. Very well done.
