Review of The Book Thief (2013) by Alejandro L — 28 Mar 2014
Riding the waning wave of young adult "thrillers", " The Book Thief" brings nothing new or interesting to the screen. It crossed streams with the dying art of holocaust guilt films making it even more intolerable.
A dumb predictable plot featuring a spunky little girl who can overcome even the death of her foster parents with her positive spunkiness an lack of character art. I nearly fell asleep halfway through this movie it is certified to please no one unless you've had serious sexual fantasies about the book.
Don't waste your time.
