Review of The Book Thief (2013) by Pip D — 08 Aug 2014
For a film I was refusing to see as I loved the book so much, this was brilliant. I can't imagine any film with Rush starring would be a bad film - for me, next to Shine, this is his best performance.
Nelisse was captivating, I imagine we will see a lot more of her in the future. An almost perfect adaptation of the novel, with all the heart and soul and pain to fulfill this story.
