The Book Of Life is visually fantastic with sultry and attractive songs throughout that make for a fun time! However, it's peaking moments of original and powerful storytelling tower above its many canyons of dismal story flops - particularly an annoying and overly talkative narration - making it a contrasting roller coaster at times.

What may make The Book Of Life the most original animated film in a long time, is that it's great moments are so ingenious, a viewer can be content with looking past it's many flaws. Just sit back, relax, and sing along while staring at the beautiful eye candy and charming characters before you.
