The Book of Life may not boast the most original of plots but its unique visually gorgeous animation style, great voice acting, charming characters, the presence of Guillermo del Toro as a producer and a couple of good songs thrown here and there make it a reasonably fun Mexican fiesta that the entire family can attend every year.
