The gorgeous visuals aren't enough compensation for the paper-thin story and lack of wit audiences are used to seeing in today's quality animated films. I also found myself continually scanning some of the characters, particularly the villains, in search of their eyes and expressions that are unfortunately obscured by too many textures and their intricate character design.
