Review of The Book of Life (1998) by Phil V — 20 Oct 2008
Most of Hal Hartley's usual crew is here - but in this case, their sometimes questionable acting ability (I don't know if it's intentional - entirely possible) actually works well within the context of the film.
An amusing if deliberately amateurish meditation on the end of days. Despite all this, you may notice I gave it five stars.
