Review of The Book of Henry (2017) by T S — 27 Mar 2018
THIS IS A REFRESHING OUT IF THE BOX GEM!! One of the best movies I've seen!
Reading these negative review tells me 3 things: A) Majoriy seem to be men with a hard on for the director, or cannot deal with a non-conformed child, mother or family. B) People seem to want a cookie cutter genre. Ie: Thriller: a work of fiction or drama designed to hold the interest by the use of a high degree of intrigue. C) They think it may be a family film, but quickly realizes it's not for all. Ie: PG13.
This movie is intriguing, extremely well acted, and pulls you into more than one emotion.
The last movie I thought was absolutey wonderful was: The Shack.
Again, not a conforming movie and was criticized by every religious drone.
This movie does make you think, feel, and will hit home with anyone who has experienced tragedy, or childhood trama.
