Review of The Book of Henry (2017) by K Nife C — 01 Feb 2018
"The Book Of Henry" is surely a bizarre mix of genres. But I think this type of movie apparently called cross-genre or hybrid-genre is so rare, that we, the audience, are not used to its awkward rhythm and violent switch.
It can be rough to experience. Though the movie is rooted in the unbelievable performances of the three main actors (Naomi Watts, Jaeden Lieberher, and Jacob Tremblay). Their acting is very genuine. They all achieve to create a strong family bond that is completely destroyed by a sad violent change.
The fallout and emotion experienced are very effective. Therefore, this movie is not the best of all times, but certainly a clean peace with good acting. It is comfortable to watch and I would recommend it.
