Review of The Book of Henry (2017) by Lauren V — 15 Jun 2017
I absolutely loved this film! I think what I admired most was the jarring tonal-shifts that took place in this movie. It reminded me much of how life can take a turn in an instant. Not only that, but the whirlwind of emotions experienced throughout this film really tugged at my heartstrings.
It's sad that the critics couldn't see past this. I would think as a movie critic you could open your mind to a film that is actually original for once and doesn't have the predictable Hollywood structure like most films have today, but it sounds like most of you need to take your skewed and cynical views back to your mother's basement.
