Review of The Book of Henry (2017) by Madi M — 24 Jun 2017
I watched this movie and I felt so sad. His best friend gets abused by her father, he dies by a surprise tumor in his head, and maddie gets adopted by Henry's mother after her father killed himself.
I honestly loved this movie. This movie shows two things that are so true in America. Cancer and tumors kill people each and everyday. This shows people that it's better to make the best of the day you have.
And then there is rape and abusing children. You never know who is getting abused unless they show a sign. As maddie did during her dance during the talent show at the end. Two scenes made me cry so hard.
When Henry died and when Peter said if maybe it shoulda been him. I loved this movie. Recommend for children 12-18. Definitely for moms. This movie shows you why you should make the best of the day you're in.
You never know when you are going to die so why not just call up your friends and have the best day ever?
