Review of The Bond (1918) by Maico * — 02 Dec 2007
Another brilliant film from Charlie Chaplin. It was created by Charlie Chaplin at his own expense for the Liberty Load Committee for theatrical release to help sell U.S. Liberty Bonds during World War I.
I like the simpleness of the whole thing. The back drops are all black and there are very few props. I like that about it. Brings it right back to what's important about Chaplin films and that's the excellent comedy.
