Review of The Blues Brothers (1980) by Alexander Z — 30 Mar 2011
For something basically created to showcase a ton of famous big band/jazz/soul/blues/R&B artists, it really contains a lot of memorable scenes and a lot of lighthearted fun. I still think it runs too long with too many stretches of boring, but who could forget Minnie the Moocher, or the final chase scene, or the floating nun? Really, it reminds me of It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, but far less annoying.
