"The Blues Brothers" is a monumental musical road-show adventure. It's one of the straight-up nuttiest movies I've ever seen, all centered around two hilariously deadpan performances from Dan Ackroyd and the late, great John Belushi.
The big numbers by Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, and James Brown are simply electrifying, plus you've got Carrie Fisher with a flamethrower, flamboyantly evil Nazis, a band of vengeful hillbillies, visions from God, and more smashed-up cars than you ever thought possible.
This is some of the most fun you'll ever have watching a movie.
