You have to see the extended "original" version of this film to fully understand the plot and funny nuances. Aykroyd's writing may have been flawed, it was his first film on screenplay, but it's just what this film needed. It's funny, unusual, somewhat off-beat, and the music choice couldn't have been better indeed.
