Funny movie and some great music scene, too. It is a farcical adventure in which two loser Joliet Jake (John Belushi) and Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) find that the orphanage they grew up in has fallen on hard times, so they decide to resurrect their old blues band to raise some money to save it.
Riotous misadventures ensue as they gather everyone up, get gig in a redneck bar and very nearly destroy Chicago with several car chases on their way to a benefit concert. Many major star with Aretha Franklin, James Brown and Ray Charles cameo and great include star also with Cab Calloway, John Candy, Carrie Fisher, Henry Gibson, Kathleen Freeman, Charles Napier and more.
A lot of slapstick and some dynamite music, too.
