Hollywood musicals are generally shit because their musical numbers are always bad and this film stands tall among those craps. It may be over the top, but that could perhaps be the best thing about the film, the musical numbers are not overlong and since they are accompanied by less lyrics and more music, its good. The production value is also respectable and the cinematography is great.
