Review of The Blues Brothers (1980) by Ken S — 14 Aug 2014
John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. The Blues Brothers. This film is one of the best films from the 1980s. John Landis directs this laugh filled musical road movie about two guys and their back up band...on a mission from god.
It is big, it is epic, and all they have to do is save the orphanage through their music. The cast is great (even the band who are portrayed by the actual musicians and not actors), the plot is solid, and the stakes grow as the film keeps moving.
It is pure entertainment, with one of the best car chase scenes in the history of cinema.
