Review of The Blue Angel (1930) by Rémy B — 31 Aug 2007
I love this movie, if nothing else than for when Marlene Dietrich (pre-nosejob) sings a song called "Falling In Love Again", which is a really stupid translation of the original title (roughly "I am designed for love from head to toe"--apparently the English subtitles are pretty toned down as well, the original German lyrics being much racier).
Anyway, best musical number ever, and the pitch perfect black and white (post-expressionist, I guess) framing.
