Review of The Blue Angel (1930) by Grant W — 04 Nov 2010
Fantastic! It was very interesting to see how the story evolved from being an entertaining comedy to a sad drama. They symbolism of the clown; foreshadowing what was soon to come. It made you wonder if the clown in the beginning was husband that she traded in for Immanuel.
Or the metaphorical balls being crushed onto Immanuel's head in the end performance. When they were married they could get him to cluck like a chicken; showing him the two eggs, then cut to then end they smash them right on his head in-front of everyone he knows.
