The best sports movie ever, and certainly one of the best post-apocalyptic films as well. Richly detailed but not explained-to-the-death universe, bone-crunching violence, more attitude than a dozen big-budget action epics, plus Rutger Hauer gives an unforgettable performance.
Oh, and make sure you see the uncut version (runtime 99m PAL or 104m NTSC), usually distributed under the original title 'Salute of the Jugger'.
