Yes, I say four star because for a B monster movie REMAKE from the 80's (that was a mouthful) this was a very successful film. I must say the film featured some of the most awe inspiring horror deaths I have seen.
People folding in half, sucked down a drain pipe, (watch the trailer) and just melted. Not to mention, there are some unexpected character deaths and twists that were definitely fun. Characters may be cookie cutter and the writing may be iffy (though not distracting), but the fun and gooey carnage is nothing short of pure fun! I mean, it's The Blob for crying out loud! A must see for any true monster movie fan.
