The blob is a grueling and somewhat predictable movie, although it has some very imaginative and very high-tech (at the time) special affects. It is an 80s flick entrapped in its own era and as a result, one can't help but appreciate how the movie is a time-warp to the years of originality.
The Blob is one of the few "horror" movies out there that has believable acting with decent actors. Although it has a very flimsy plot, especially in regards to the Blob's origin, it entertains and incites cringes.
