With plenty of chills, thrills and impressive visuals, Chuck Russell's 1988 The Blob remake proves to break the horror film remake curse with a fresh update on the 1958 Steve McQueen classic and is highlighted with solid performances especially a stand-out female lead from Shawnee Smith who steals the show.
