Slimy and gross special effects on the blob are the real draw for this movie. Plotwise, the movie is an homage to 1950s horror movies right down to the rebel bad boy with a heart of gold. If you're a fan of old-school, gross out horror movies, you'll enjoy The Blob (1988).
