Review of The Blob (1958) by Kári D — 01 Oct 2007
Total classic. Fairly transparent metaphor for Communism. I'd like to see them make this film today. The faith in the American military is almost touching. Nowadays the heroes would be trying to prevent some twisted general or other from using the thing for military purposes -- dropping it on Teheran, say, rather than in the Arctic.
Oops, did I just give away the ending?
