Review of The Blob (1958) by Alan T — 06 Jan 2008
The best thing about this is the song for the opening credits. "Beware of the Blob! It creeps and leaps and glides and slides across the floor Right through the door and all around the wall, A splotch, a blotch, Be careful of the Blob!" Then a large glop of vaseline falls out of the sky and trips around gobbling people up and getting bigger.
Steve McQueen debuts in the film industry and the twenty-something Hollywood teenagers save the day. Good stuff and it takes less than an hour and a half to watch.
