With her characteristic nonjudgmental approach to these characters, Sofia Coppola is perfectly suited to telling this story. However, with such superficial characters at the heart of this film, the whole thing ends up feeling rather shallow and slightly unsatisfying.
An interesting watch, but perhaps the least engaging of Sofia's works to date.
