Basic: Based on true events, of where it focuses on a group of youngsters, who are doing drugs, drinking, but also they're going to every single celebrity's houses, and robbing a lot of their things.

What's the deal: So, the film is written and directed by Sofia Coppola, who did films that I haven't seen at all to be quite honest for myself. In fact, my parents may have seen her best film called Lost in Translation, and I wasn't invited to see because I was too young to watch that kind of film, but I did see her at The Godfather part 3, which she had won a couple of Razzie Awards for that. I felt like her acting was all right, although I did have problems with her when she begins to simile. Anyway, to the point of my review of The Bling Ring, what seriously made me want to watch this film? First thing is Taissa Farmiga is in it because ever since I really like a lot in American Horror Story, she became one of my likable actresses so far. The second thing is, most likely the idea of it because I really like to watch movies that have true events with a bunch of teenagers and that's mostly my thing I'm interested with. However, this movie failed on so many levels to be impressive.

Number of bad reasons for me that I dislike it: Firstly, the characters, which are the youngsters I'm talking about, who are Rebecca, Marc, Nicki, Chloe, and Sam. All of them are of course, unlikeable, and I don't seriously mean it in a believable way. Are they're real people? Should we care for them? No and no because they're so one-dimensional and I only see little depth of them. Secondly, there's just not much going on around the plot. I felt like I was staying with these characters for so long, who are robbing celebrity's houses one by one, and then I see them going in parties, where they're smoking, drinking, and dancing in there, and I was totally missing the depth of the story. Thirdly, when I saw the trailers of this movie, I thought this movie was going to star Emma Watson in the starting role, but technically she's barely in the film. I notice that a lot of people said she delivered a great performance in this film, and I think she does her best, but I don't think this kind of performance is as great as or better than her previous films.

On Taissa Farmiga: She played Sam, the adapted sister of Emma Watson's character. In my opinion, I was slightly more impressed on her than the rest of the cast because I still find her as one of the likeable actresses so far, and there was only one scene in the movie. One scene in it was where she starts playing around with the gun, then takes the gun to her boyfriend's house, and accidentally fires it. I thought it was somewhat funny.

My full opinion: As a whole, the characters feels undeveloped, the plot is pointless, and I don't think it's terrible, but it's almost unwatchable. 3.5/10.
