Review of The Black Stallion (1979) by Jonathan H — 05 Dec 2008
Minimal dialogue, beautiful panoramas, fantastic concentration on detail, powerful messages about trust, friendship and their prerequisite for survival. Boy and horse earn each other's respect for intelligence and bravery in a manner that is not far-fetched in spite of the species divide.
I can't say enough to compliment Carmine Coppola's magnificent musical score following and enhancing every emotion. No words necessary.
