Review of The Black Sheep (1932) by Sari P — 16 Apr 2010
A one joke student skit stretched out beyond breaking point. Plot such as it is runs out of steam very early on and the film tries to survive on an endless succession of blood and gore effects.
Gets one star for the nice locations and the sheepdog.
Filmmakers need to realise that there is nothing more tedious than a knowingly 'bad' or 'cheesy' film. While I'm sure in conversation over drinks the plot of this film came across as hilarious, in practice it just looks like someone demanding that you laugh at the same mildly amusing joke for 90 minutes.
