I was pleasantly surprised after watching this. I wasn't sure I wanted to see it because I was disappointed with Into Darkness and the trailer showing the Enterprise getting trashed and with Justin Lin directing left me with a lot of misconceptions about what the movie would be like.

And part of that was correct, there wasn't a whole lot of story to this movie. But even so, it was actually pretty good. One of the few movies this year that I actually left the theater pleased with what I'd just watched.
