Review of The Black Phone (2022) by Kendalll — 16 Aug 2022
I find it hard to pay attention to movies I watch because of the expected plot or boring narrative, but this thriller/horror movie made a simplistic plot intriguing and memorable. I think about this movie a lot, just like I do with other favorites, because of the incredible acting.
Gwen/Gwenny, the sister of Finney in the movie, was an incredible actress. She really emphasized her emotions and portrayed exactly how it feels to be physically and emotionally abused. One of my favorite scenes was when Robin, as a ghost, was on the phone with Finney teaching him how to attack and kill the grabber.
