Corny: yes, screwy: maybe, fun as hell: hell, yes! Sure the special effects weren't state-of-the-art or the story didn't make any sense and the dialogue was childish, but the glorious cinematography and John Barry's hypnotizing score makes up for something that could have been the next "Star Wars".
