Review of The Black Hole (1979) by Miguel H — 27 Oct 2010
Keep in mind this movie is from 1979. Watched first when I was about 6 years old and loved it, I was afraid of the robot I remember but is the whole movie that creeps you out --specially if u are a 6 years old kid-- the soundtrack is amazing it gives u a feeling of uneasiness that' hard to describe, it feels as if you are slowly running out of air. All the effects are great for their age and I liked the miniatures a lot, acting could be a bit better but don't take that as a critic, I'm just saying.
The movie has a little bit of everything: Some Lost In Space, some Star Wars, Buck Rogers, Star Trek, Forbidden Planet or 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea Etc. and also it itself has inspired other movies and famous spaceships like for example Event Horizon.
If You saw the movie as a child you'll love it and if u haven't seen it yet please take the time to look for it on Youtube as I did and I guarantee you you'll enjoy the next two hours a lot.
