A nice simple Christmas movie, The Bishop's Wife is a subtle film that bounces between romance, comedy, and drama. Niven and Grant work well together (originally Grant was supposed to be the bishop and Niven the angel) and Young is nice as a woman confused by her feelings for someone who isn't her husband but reminds her of what he use to be.
Remade as The Preacher's Wife in 1996.
