So........ it's a powerful story, with great acting by a pretty talented cast. however is it as good as let's say Malcom X, Selma, or Roots? nahhh......
It is a good effort on the part of Nate Parker for this story to be told, and finally have a place in Hollywood giving that many stories of prominent African Americans and specially slave rebellions are never told. but it is not yet a GREAT film. good beginning effort and hopefully in the future we will get great efforts.
It is important though to still go and supported.
